Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan Wins $25,000 Tech Upgrade

Manhattan, Kan. (Oct. 3, 2018 – Press Release)

After three finalists, three weeks of voting, and about 3,000 votes, Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan has been named the winner of Twin Valley’s Transform Your Tech Contest – a technology transformation package worth $25,000.

The contest began by accepting applications from area businesses in August. After a committee of local innovators scored all entries, the three finalists with the highest scores were: TSI Trucking, Manhattan Christian College, and Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan. Public voting opened in September, and each finalist had to promote themselves with a goal of receiving the most community votes.

“We’re really excited to see the impact this transformation will make for the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan, said Twin Valley General Manager, Scott Leitzel. They play a huge role in the lives of young people, their families, and the future of Manhattan.”

The engagement will begin in the coming weeks with an IT consultation from Twin Valley to determine the best way to use the $25,000 tech upgrade package.

“We’ll start by laying out a roadmap that aligns with their organizational needs, Leitzel added. “The key to making technology work for you instead of against you is having a solid game plan.”
