Tommy’s Express Car Wash Expands to Manhattan

Tommy’s Car Wash will open at 503 Tuttle Creek Boulevard in Manhattan where Motel 6 previously was. Construction began earlier this week with assembling the metal structure. Currently there at six operating Tommy Car Washes across the United States and 22 underway that are opening soon.

In 1969, Jun and Sonny Essenburg launched their first dual rollover system in Holland, Michigan and shortly thereafter, innovated the system into a 60′ automatic tunnel wash. In 2001, the car wash became what it is today and began franchising across the United States.

The Tommy Car Wash includes a hot wash and UV protection, wheel cleaning and tire gloss, underbody flush and spot free rinse. Additionally, free vacuums are included with Tommy’s iconic red sun canopy, dual hose design, automatic mat washers, and cleaning kit vending boxes.

Another innovative feature is The Tommy Club, a month-to-month membership that gives you unlimited car washes for one monthly price, ranging from $19.99 – $29.99/month. The membership has no long term contract and works at any Tommy Car Wash.

When you pull up, license plate recognition software automatically matches your vehicle to your account. Payments are automatically completed with your saved credit card information.
