La Hacienda Restaurant and Taqueria to Reopen in Chapman After Wildcat Creek Flood

September 4th, 2018 was a devastating Labor Day weekend for many in the Manhattan region due to torrential rainfall causing the flooding of Wildcat Creek.

La Hacienda Restaurant and Taqueria took a direct hit while located in a suite along Seth Child Road and Anderson Avenue, only a few hundred feet from the creek.

The restaurant did not reopen once flood waters retreated. Many community members have voiced the loss of this restaurant since the flood and now can rejoice of its reopening!

Yesterday, via social media, the restaurant and taqueria announced that it will be reopening on March 12th, 2019 located at 2702 N Marshall, Chapman, Kansas 67431.

Hello! We are happy to say that La Hacienda is reopening. The bad news is, the location is all the way in Chapman. We would be happy to see you visit us at our new location. Thank you for your support for all these years, we hope to see you again.

La Hacienda opened in Manhattan in early 2010 and serves authentic Mexican cuisine.
