Five years ago, della Voce got a fresh breathe of air after re-opening at 405 Poyntz Avenue by owner Caleb Edwards in 2014.
The restaurant features a bar with craft cocktails and upscale Italian dishes made from scratch by family member and executive chef Mariel Edwards.
della Voce announced on December 27th via social media, “It has been awesome being a part of our community as della Voce for the last five years! dV will be closing our doors on January 1st.”
Noah Reagan was the original restaurant owner who launched the della Voce restaurant brand in 2009 and tonight, New Years Eve, will be the last evening for what Manhattan knows as dV.
Owner Caleb Edwards confirmed that as the dV brand ends its era, a complete rebrand will occur and a contemporary restaurant will emerge called five; featuring a new American menu style.
“We are ready to make something completely, 100%, ours. We took over della Voce five years ago and are excited about what’s ahead,” said Edwards.
Edwards continued with, “Executive chef Mariel Edwards will be bringing an all new menu including farm to table items, seasonal specials, cocktails, and an overall world cuisine lineup; not solely Italian.”
The current location at 405 Poyntz will undergo a two week renovation and interior makeover right after the first of the year. five is expected to be open in mid-late January and will continued to be owned and operated by Caleb Edwards.
