Manhattan’s rental market and student population are two things that all locals are continually aware of August through May. New construction and multi-story buildings across our city are also becoming more common in recent years.
One of the newest projects in the budding Aggieville district was released on Friday with a community crowd-sourcing approach. However, not for financial gain.
Anderson Knight Architects, with a tagline of Dream. Create. Inspire., announced the project they are designing for a local developer at the intersection of 14th & Laramie Street. “Seeking collaborative solutions and cultivating community are two of our values we believe in strongly here at Anderson Knight Architects and we have a special opportunity to include YOU in our design process! We want the community to help name the building.” said Aaron Apel of Anderson Knight.
The building will have retail on the street level and residential on the top two floors. Demolition construction has begun on the corner, removing current residential dwellings to make space for the new project.
“Think outside the box, pull from history, look to the future and help Manhattan thrive,” said Anderson Knight Architects.
Write your positive, constructive, suggestions below in the comment section and they will be considered in naming the building.
