More Than 400 People and 22 Vendors will Convene for the Upcoming Little Apple Baby Expo

Premier Chiropractic & Wellness will highlight Webster Technique, a safe method to reduce pregnancy pain & discomfort.

Manhattan, KS, July 23, 2019 – Locally owned and operated Premier Chiropractic & Wellness is happy to co-present the upcoming Little Apple Baby Expo, which will take place on Sunday afternoon, July 28th at the Hilton Garden Inn.

For Premier Chiropractic, helping pregnant women alleviate pain is something they do regularly. Dr. Dierksen and Dr. Harris are both Webster Technique certified, meaning they’ve been trained on techniques and adjustment modifications that avoid unneeded pressure on the abdomen, using tables that adjust for a pregnant woman’s body. Some issues or symptoms that can be alleviated by using the Webster Technique include low back pain, sciatic neuralgia, SI joint pain, and pelvis pain.

“Many women don’t know chiropractic care is a safe, healthy option during pregnancy,” said Felicia Dierksen, who owns Premier Chiropractic & Wellness with her husband, Dr. Dean Dierksen. Felicia, who gave birth to their second baby only a couple of months ago feels like this is a natural extension of their business and that Little Apple Baby Expo is a great place to highlight the benefits. “Drs. Dierksen and Harris can also share exercises and stretches that are safe for pregnant women. This kind of care makes a huge difference in feeling comfortable, especially in those last few weeks of pregnancy.”

Not only is chiropractic care safe and effective for expecting mothers, it is gentle and safe for children. According to the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), adjustments help alleviate spinal subluxations (misalignments of the vertebrae) caused by intrauterine constraint, abnormal positioning in the uterus, and spinal distress from the journey through the birth canal or during the delivery process itself. Ideally, babies should be checked and adjusted as soon as possible after birth.

The Little Apple Baby Expo, presented by Premier Chiropractic & Wellness and Little Apple Doulas, will take place from 2-5pm at the Hilton Garden Inn on Sunday, July 28. The event is free to enter with donations accepted at the door for Little Apple Diaper Drive.  Approximately 400 people are expected to attend, with door prizes going to the first 50 to arrive and check in. Extra raffle tickets will go to the first 50 guests to pre-register on the Little Apple Baby Expo website. Twenty two local and regional vendors will also be in attendance to showcase what they have to offer for local families.

Some great amenities of the Little Apple Baby Expo will include free massages for parents, a big sibling training area and coloring contest, a photo booth, and guest speakers to discuss topics relevant to local parents and expectant parents.

In addition to presenting the Little Apple Baby Expo, Premier Chiropractic chooses a worthy cause semi annually to donate new patient appointment proceeds. They’re currently raising funds for Flint Hills Community Care, after raising $10,000 for The Crisis Center, gifted in February.

Flint Hills Community Center, which serves the health and wellness needs of the medically underserved by providing quality, compassionate, and personalized care. To learn more about the organization, visit  www.flinthillscommunityclinic.org
