Second Annual StartUp MHK Business Pitch Competition Nears

(MANHATTAN, Kansas, Oct. 11, 2018)

The business pitch competition is scheduled Oct. 20. The competition will consist of five judges listening to contestants pitch their business or idea. With a total of $20,000 in prize money awarded to the top three pitches. The event is hosted by Peoples State Bank located at 9370 E. US Hwy 24 Manhattan, KS. The first pitch is 9 a.m. The main event starts at 3 p.m. and should conclude at approximately 4 p.m.

The general public is invited to attend the event all day or come and go as they please. Activities for the day include business pitches from local Manhattan startups and food provided by Old Chicago and Taproom. At 3 p.m. the top three pitches will be announced. The top three will then pitch a second time in a battle for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place spots. First place will be awarded $15,000; second place $3,000; third place $2,000.
